Suddenly…
A tear will fall and then
A thousand smiles and still
I am alone.
Silently I scream
A surreal dream
I begin again to cry.
Deep inside is a battle;
A fight between tears,
Showing my fears
And laughing out loud,
One more face in the crowd.
So when I’m laughing
Hold me tight.
The laughter’s not real
It just won the fight.
